Zoom Rockman in Private Eye Magazine

We are delighted to announce that comic book super kid and all round rising star in the world of satire Zoom Rockman has been featured in this fortnights edition of Private Eye.

Zoom’s cuttingly political sketch, featuring a boarded up Big Ben and Houses of Parliament, is used to illustrate a piece on the recent tragedy of Grenfell Tower, and the parliamentary failings that did little to avert the disaster. Zoom’s piece satirises the inequalities and hypocrisies underlying the lofty jargon of the government.

Zoom Rockman is a sixteen-year-old British artist and cartoonist whose comic strip Skanky Pigeon first appeared in the Beano when he was 12 years old. His comic, The Zoom, has attracted wide critical acclaim for its funny and irreverent critique of urban life and has developed a cult following. In 2012 he was awarded the Achievement in Media award by Spirit of London.

Zoom has recently released the 11th edition of The Zoom!, on sale at selected book and comic book stores. In this edition Zoom takes on the role of Peter Cooke and Dudley Moore, interviewing current leaders and political candidates to ask, ‘whats the worst bloody thing that could happen to you?’.
