We had an absolutely stellar 2024 here at The Blair Partnership with too many highlights to count, but to name a few…
In non-fiction:
- All That Matters by Sir Chris Hoy was a no.1 Sunday Times bestseller
- Wilding by Isabella Tree (illustrated by TBP’s Angela Harding) was nominated for the Wainwright prize
- Angela Harding also designed the 2024 Books Are My Bags tote bag
- Robert Hannigan’s Counter-Intelligence was selected as a best book of 2024 by The Economist
- Nadhim Zahawi’s The Boy From Baghdad was an Observer Book of the Week
- Underclass by Jess Taylor was a Sunday Times bestseller
- Jassa Ahluwalia won best narrator at the Audio Production Awards for the narration of his memoir, Both Not Half
- Leena Norms’s Half Arse Human was chosen as a Book of the Month for December by The Bookseller
- The Vagina Business was listed as Financial Times best business book
In fiction and children’s:
- Suzanne Fortin’s The Girl in the Sky won an RNA award
- Dog by Rob Perry was an indie bestseller
- Glasgow Boys by Margaret McDonald was longlisted in the 2024 UK Literary Association book awards
- Crookhaven by J.J. Arcanjo was shortlisted for the Waterstones Book Prize
- Sue H. Cunnigham’s debut YA novel, Totally Deceased, was shortlisted for a Buckinghamshire Book Award
- Glasgow Boys by Margaret McDonald nominated for a Carnegie’s Award
- Megan Hopkins’s Starminster was shortlisted as a Foyles Book of the Year
- Rogba Payne’s Dance of Shadows was selected as a best new sci-fi book by the Financial Times
In film, TV, broadcast, and theatre:
- The Little Big Things musical, based on the life and book of Henry Fraser, was nominated for an Olivier award
- Yalda Hakim officially began hosting ‘The World with Yalda Hakim’ at primetime on Sky News
- Shaun Pinner’s Live. Fight. Survive. secured a film deal with Chips Hardy attached as a writer
- Terry Ronald’s Becoming Nancy had a musical theatre run at the Birmingham Rep theatre
- Ronen Bergman was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for his press coverage of the Israel-Hamas conflict
- Katie Kennedy (aka, The History Gossip) was nominated for a TikTok award
- Big Manny won a TikTok award
- Belladonna by Anbara Salam was included on Popshift’s 2024 IP list
- Lola Young hosted a keynote at the British Book Awards
The above just about touches the iceberg of all the brilliant things TBP clients have achieved over the past year or so, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2025. We already know it’s going to be another fantastic year!
