Ruth Kelly

Ruth Kelly is a journalist who’s ghosted a string of Sunday Times top ten bestsellers – most recently THE PRISON DOCTOR, which sold over 250,000 copies, and THE GOVERNOR, which went straight in at Number One on the Amazon charts and Number Five in the Sunday Times list. 

She’s helped a diverse range of people tell their stories from celebrities to unsung heroes. 

Thanks to her experience as a journalist in print and television, Ruth has developed a speciality in finding people who’ve lived extraordinary lives and retelling their stories in such a way they have meaning and impact and resonate with the nation. Often these memoirs include incredible acts of bravery or overcoming adversity.

Ruth has more recently branched out into writing fiction with a special focus on crime and thriller. THE VILLA was published in June 2023 and THE ESCAPE was published in December 2023. THE ESCAPE was selected as a Richard & Judy Book Club pick.
