M.K. DeGuelle
M.K. was born and raised in Colorado and is a mountain girl and homebody through and through. On her ranch, she works with several horses, maintains a small orchard, and practices regenerative hay farming.
She grew up riding and training horses and has always had a strong connection to animals, mostly of the fuzzy kind. She has four cats that act like ranch dogs, two dogs that are . . . well, dogs, and several horses that act like . . . dogs. So basically, she has a lot of dogs.
Being outdoors is her favourite place to be, especially if she’s hiking, fishing, or picking fruit. In the winter she loves to cross-country ski, snowshoe, and pull her kids on a sled behind her horse, but her favourite winter sport is writing stories by the fire with a cup of coffee or tea.
M.K. is inspired by animals and nature and writes stories she hopes will inspire young people to follow their hearts and believe in themselves.
