Georgina Spivey
Georgina Spivey (she/her) is a queer Scottish writer and teacher. As a child she couldn’t be separated from her books – often taking an extra bag on holiday filled with novels – and a love of reading stories blossomed into a love of writing them.
In 2022, Georgina graduated from the University of Glasgow with a joint honours degree in English Literature and Politics, before completing a post-grad in Secondary English Teaching. In 2023, she was shortlisted for the Merky Books New Writers’ Prize with her literary fiction submission, and credits this with giving her the confidence to put her writing out into the world.
She is currently working on her debut novel, a young adult murder mystery romance, and lives in Glasgow with her partner and too many second-hand books. In her spare time, you can find her trying out new recipes, trawling her local charity shops, or writing in a coffee shop, fuelled by an endless supply of cappuccinos.
