Cerriann Taylor
Cerriann has commented on youth culture at RWD Magazine, MTV UK, SBTV, MOBO Awards Magazine, The Sunday Times Culture and at One Festival of Homeless Arts. In a parallel career she worked in television and has production credits across many departments at various production companies, including Princess Productions for T4, Kudos for ITV’s Eternal Law and BBC Factual, with humble beginnings as a runner at Watchdog and Rogue Traders. She also spent time researching her own coming of age documentary in BBC Factual Development.
Teaming up with News UK in 2012, she first entered the House of Parliament whilst creating a report for The Princes Trust (Policy and Strategy), which highlighted the challenges of work experience for young people across the UK as part of a national campaign.
At the Writers Guild of Great Britain (WGGB), she now advises on the Books Committee, has represented their voice at Trades Union Congress on the Race Relations Committee and is a juror for the First Novel Award.
Cerriann lives in Birmingham with her two young daughters.
