Babita Sharma

Babita Sharma is a Documentarian, TV Presenter, Author and News Anchor for the BBC. Babita has spent seven years on BBC World News’ Newsday covering major global news events, such as the Trump-Kim Summit in Singapore and the Rio Olympics 2016.

Babita’s book on the history of the corner shop in Britain was published by Hodder Press in Spring 2019, and follows her critically-acclaimed documentary Booze, Beans & Bhajis: The Story of the Corner Shop on BBC Four. Her children’s book, PRIYA MISTRY AND THE PAW PRINTS PUZZLE, was published in July 2024.
