Alwia Al-Hassan

Alwia Al-Hassan is a children’s author and freelance literary translator currently residing in Saudi Arabia. She has a BA in English Literature with Philosophy from Royal Holloway, and an MA in Arabic Literature from SOAS. Her picture book, SHEMS AND THE MAGIC SEABREAM, was self-published in 2019 and is based on Saudi Arabian folklore. 

When she’s not racing after her two children, Alwia enjoys travelling around the world, sampling diverse cuisines, and losing herself in imaginary worlds.
